Bop It Game PictureThe New Party Games For 2009 are looking very impressive.  There is a wide variety of new board games and unique games that work great for parties.  Here, we will take a look at each of them and explain why we think they make great party gifts:

Mindflex Game

The Mindflex Game is the most unique game for not only this year but probably for the last five years.  This is a fun one that allows people to move a ball with their mind.  The game is great fun and competition as people can compete against each other and is really fun to watch.  I suspect this game will be a big hit just by the curiosity factor alone.

Pictureka Flipper

The Pictureka Flipper is the cool new follow-up to the wildly popular Pictureka® party game that came out last year.  This one is even better as a mechanical penguin actually flips out tiles if people don’t answer correctly in time.  Love the penguin or hate him, he adds a whole lot of extra fun to this game.  Sure, to be a big hit this summer as its Pictureka® super sized.

Monopoly City Edition

The classic Monopoly® game has seen many revisions, but none quite like the Monopoly City Edition.  This one takes on a city feel where you go after zoning deeds rather than standard properties.

A few other nice features add to this game as well.  One is a set timer and electronic score keeper which addresses some problems with the original.  Another is that you can now do some competitive strategizing by actually putting a waste dump by your opponent’s nice luxury building.  The result is you bring down the property value on that person’s property.  No doubt this feature will make this game even more competitive.  Expect this one to be very popular this year as well.

Bop It Game

The Bop It Game is a new version of an older style game.  This one will have you playing along by bopping, pulling, twisting, or shouting your way to victory.  Expect this one to be a big hit at parties as it demands quick reflexes and is very, very addictive.

If I were to rank the games listed, I would have this one be #1 or #2 of the party games listed here.  It is that good.

Trivial Pursuit Team Edition

The Trivial Pursuit Team Edition is probably the best Trivial Pursuit® game ever made.  The reason is it addresses the most common complaints of past games which are too hard questions and only yes or no responses.  The new one actually offers team help and multiple choice questions.  The result is a faster paced game that everyone can enjoy.  If people liked the past Trivial Pursuit® games, they will love this new version.
